You see, here in Canada, our butter is staying hard at room temperature and ripping our toast apart. Even on the warmest days! Julie Van Rosendaal kicked things off in her Globe & Mail food column, and the world went WILD!

I’ve had a block of butter on the counter softening to make a coffee cake, and it’s still perfectly hard. While I wait for it to get soft, or can clear enough time in my calendar to soften it in my mixer, I thought I’d make up a colouring sheet to remind everyone that Canadians may have hard butter, but we still have soft hearts!
